An independent, growing multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong presence across the midlands is looking for a clerk of works to support them with resi projects across the West/East Midlands.

The Clerk of Works - Role and Responsibilities

As the clerk of works on site, you will manage residential projects - apartments and dwellings across the west and east midlands.

• Previous experience working as a Clerk of Works, NEC Supervisor or in a similar construction quality role.
• ICWCI or MCIOB
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and workmanship
• Previous residential experience
• Previous consultancy experience beneficial
• Identifying and recording defects, non-compliance and areas of concern
• Producing clear and detailed inspection reports
• Maintaining accurate photographic and written site records
• Monitoring progress against the agreed construction programme
• Attending project, progress and site meetings
• Liaising with contractors, consultants, client representatives and other stakeholders
• Supporting the wider project team in resolving quality and technical issues
• Ensuring relevant testing and inspections are undertaken and appropriately recorded
• Monitoring health and safety observations and escalating concerns where appropriate
• Full driving license
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong written reporting and record-keeping skills
