Role and Responsibilities for the Clerk of Works: Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to specifications, building regulations, and health and safety standards. Ensure the work is carried out to the highest standard by reviewing materials, workmanship, and construction processes, and verifying compliance with the project documentation. Ensure that all works are in compliance with local building regulations, planning permission, and other statutory requirements. Produce detailed reports on the progress of work, identify any discrepancies, defects, or non-compliance issues, and provide recommendations for corrective actions. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve site issues and ensure smooth workflow and adherence to schedules.
