Clerk of Works - Social Housing Location: South London Salary: 42,000 - 45,000 per annum Contract: Permanent The Opportunity We are recruiting for an experienced Clerk of Works to join a respected social housing provider in South London on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key quality assurance role, ensuring housing projects are delivered safely, to specification, and to the highest standards for residents.The successful candidate will act as the client''s representative on site, inspecting and monitoring works across repairs, planned maintenance, and new build/refurbishment projects. Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out regular inspections of works on site to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and housing standardsMonitor workmanship, materials, and overall quality of construction across housing projectsReport on progress, defects, risks, and non-compliance issues, keeping stakeholders informedEnsure contractors adhere to health and safety regulations and contractual obligationsCheck and verify works at key stages, including damp and mould remediation, repairs, adaptations, and refurbishment projectsLiaise with residents, contractors, project managers, and client teams to resolve issues quickly and effectivelyPrepare detailed site reports, documenting inspections, defects, and corrective actionsMonitor performance against KPIs and support continuous improvement of housing deliveryProvide expert advice on quality assurance and compliance ..... full job details .....
