Key responsibilities
  • Monitor works against approved drawings, specifications and programme milestones.
  • Oversee contractor performance, workmanship and site safety.
  • Ensure RAMS, permits, isolations and access controls are appropriate for live environments.
  • Identify delivery risks, delays and quality concerns, escalating these to the Project Manager.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, designers, contractors and operational teams.
  • Produce accurate, evidence-based site reports.
  • Support inspections, snagging and project readiness reviews.
  • Check that O&M manuals, asset information, certificates and warranties are complete.
  • Help ensure the smooth handover of completed projects into operational use.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture across the site.
What we’re looking for
  • At least two years’ experience within M&E, facilities management, construction or a critical operational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction health and safety requirements.
  • CDM awareness.
  • A recognised construction, mechanical, electrical or management qualification—or substantial relevant experience.
  • The ability to interpret technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Strong contractor and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and reporting abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexibly and support occasional out-of-hours requirements.

IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS or CIOB is essential
BPSS clearance is essential also.

The opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to represent a leading facilities and project delivery organisation across a high-profile Central Government estate. You will play an important role in maintaining project quality, safety and operational continuity within demanding live environments.
