Job Title: Temporary Street CleanserLocation: LeicesterDuration: Initial 2-month temporary contract (with potential extension)Working Hours: 37 hours a week - Monday to Friday Job Purpose:To maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of streets, public walkways, and surrounding areas by removing litter, debris, and waste, helping to improve the local environment.Key Responsibilities:Sweep streets, pavements, and public areas using manual or mechanical equipmentCollect and dispose of litter, leaves, and other waste materialsEmpty public bins and replace linersSafely remove hazardous items such as broken glassReport issues such as fly-tipping, graffiti, or damagesSupport seasonal activities (e.g., leaf clearance, winter gritting)Operate cleaning vehicles or equipment where requiredAdhere to all health and safety regulations and use PPE correctlySkills and Experience:Previous cleaning or outdoor work experience is desirable but not essentialAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsGood level of physical fitnessReliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a teamBasic understanding of health and safety practicesEssential Requirements:Full UK driving licenceMust have held a driving licence for a minimum of 2 yearsPersonal Attributes:Hardworking and dependablePositive attitudeGood attention to detailStrong commitment to maintaining high standardsBenefits:Competitive hourly rateTraining providedOpportunity for contract extensionValuable experience ..... full job details .....
