Cleaning Supervisor £24,522 pro rata, per annum37hrs per weekThe Role We are seeking a proactive and organised Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day delivery of cleaning services across Blackburn College''s campuses and external sites. This is a hands-on supervisory role focused on ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation are consistently maintained across all locations. As Cleaning Supervisor, you will coordinate and support a team of cleaning staff, allocate workloads, monitor performance and undertake regular quality inspections to ensure service standards are met. You will provide practical support to the team where required and work closely with the Facilities and Estates team to ensure an effective and responsive cleaning service. The role covers the main College campus and a number of external locations across Blackburn with Darwen, therefore regular travel between sites is required. You will play a key role in maintaining safe, clean and welcoming environments for students, staff and visitors. The cleaning service operates between 5.30am and 7.00pm Monday to Friday and includes occasional weekend working. Your normal working hours will be 7.5 hours per day (7 hours on a Friday), plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. To meet operational requirements, working hours may be scheduled on a rotating shift basis, for example between 5.30am and 1.30pm or 10.00am and 6.00pm.
