We are looking for a Cleaner on a part-time basis, 12 hours per week, covering Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. In this role you will undertake cleaning duties at one of our sheltered scheme buildings. -

What you''ll be doing

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout communal areas, offices, welfare facilities and other designated areas withing the supported living scheme.

Ensure all cleaning equipment materials and chemicals are used safely, stored securely and maintained in good working order.

Conduct regular checks of communal areas, identifying and reporting maintenance issues, health and safety hazards damage, pest concerns or safeguarding concerns promptly.

Support the creation of a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment that promotes residents wellbeing dignity and independence.

Where required, to be an active participation in resident forums.

What we are looking for

Previous cleaning experience of carrying out cleaning duties in a supported living or similar environment is desirable, but not essential.

Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to complete records and report issues.

Understanding of health and safety requirements relating to cleaning activities, including the control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH)-

To be able to understand and follow safety rules

Aware of safeguarding responsibilities when working with vulnerable adults

Please note the office expectancy of this role is as follows: Full time at Leyland Court. This role will be 12 hours pw and spread over Monday, Wednesday and Friday in 3 x 4hr blocks. We are flexible for these 4 hours to be taken anytime between 8am-8pm at the-scheme.
