Job Title: Temporary Cleaner (1-Month Contract) Location: Middlesbrough Hours: 37.5 hours per week (typically Monday to Friday) Contract Type: Fixed-term (1 month) Reporting To: Facilities Manager / Site Supervisor Job Purpose To maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across office spaces, workshops, and communal areas within a busy engineering company. The role ensures a clean and professional working environment for staff and visitors. Key Responsibilities Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting. Clean and sanitise toilets, kitchens, and welfare facilities. Maintain cleanliness in office areas, meeting rooms, and reception. Clean workshop floors and surfaces in line with health and safety guidelines. Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately, including recycling where applicable. Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls. Report any maintenance issues, damages, or hazards to the supervisor. Follow all company health and safety procedures, particularly in engineering/workshop environments. Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with COSHH regulations. Ensure cleaning equipment is stored safely and maintained properly. Person Specification Essential: Previous cleaning experience (commercial or industrial preferred).
