Work Pattern:
Monday to Sunday (days to be confirmed as per rota)
Pay Rate: £12.85 per hour
Role Overview:
Durham County Council is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join the Facilities Management and Building Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across designated sites, including public and school environments.
Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning floors, surfaces, and communal areas
• Maintaining hygiene standards in toilets and facilities
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Ensuring cleaning equipment is used and stored correctly

Requirements:

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual

Additional Information:

• A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required, as the role involves working in a school setting.
