Pertemps Maidstone is seeking a Cleaner / Cleaning Operative to join their team in Gillingham. This full-time, temporary role offers £14 per hour, with 40 hours per week and some weekend work required. The successful candidate will maintain high cleanliness standards across the site, undertaking duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces in offices, communal areas, kitchens, and bathrooms. You will also support housekeeping tasks to uphold hygiene standards throughout the facility. An immediate start is available for this position. Cleaner / Cleaning Operative – Immediate Start
We are currently recruiting a reliable Cleaning Operative to join our clients team with an immediate start available.
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary
Hours: 40 hours per week / Some Weekend Work Required
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site, carrying out duties associated with a Cleaner, Commercial Cleaner, Office Cleaner, Facilities Cleaner, and Hygiene Operative. You will also support housekeeping tasks typically undertaken by a Housekeeper, Domestic Cleaner, or Cleaning Assistant.
Duties include:
- Cleaning offices, communal areas, kitchens, and bathrooms
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
- Maintaining hygiene standards throughout the facility
- Following cleaning schedules and health & safety procedures
- Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns
- Previous cleaning experience preferred
- Basic DBS required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Flexible to work some weekends
