Surety Class UnderwriterThe RoleAn ambitious specialist MGA is looking to appoint an experienced Surety Underwriter to play a key role in the continued growth of its London Market business.This is an excellent opportunity for an established underwriter who enjoys combining technical underwriting with business development. You''ll have the autonomy to build a profitable portfolio, develop broker relationships, and contribute to the long-term direction of the Surety proposition.Responsibilities Underwrite a broad range of Surety risks within agreed authority. Develop and expand a profitable portfolio through new and existing broker relationships. Assess risks, negotiate terms, and deliver commercially sound underwriting decisions. Work closely with brokers to identify and convert new business opportunities. Monitor portfolio performance and help drive profitable growth. Contribute to the ongoing development of the Surety offering and wider business strategy. Represent the business across the London Market and at industry events. Support, mentor, and share knowledge with colleagues as the team continues to grow.
