Prospero Teaching is recruiting a SEN Teacher in Aylesbury to teach primary-aged pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, learning difficulties and physical or sensory needs.

You''ll plan practical, engaging lessons around pupils'' abilities, with a focus on communication, independence and progress at their own pace. We welcome experienced SEN Teachers and mainstream teachers looking to move into special education.

As a SEN Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver lessons adapted to individual learning needs.

• Set achievable targets and track each pupil''s progress.

• Work closely with classroom support staff to provide consistent support.

• Build positive relationships with pupils, families and therapists.

• Support communication, emotional regulation and independence throughout the school day.

We''re looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Experience teaching pupils with SEN or adapting lessons for children with additional needs.

• Strong classroom organisation and a calm, flexible approach.

• The ability to recognise and build on small steps in progress.

• A commitment to safeguarding and working collaboratively.

Experience in a special school is welcome, but relevant mainstream teaching experience will also be considered.

A competitive daily rate is available, depending on experience. An enhanced child workforce DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one, and satisfactory references are required.
