Are you a Year 1 teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive and close-knit school community this January? A Church of England primary school in Southampton is seeking a Year 1 teacher to join their team on a long-term basis. This role is due to start in February but has the capacity to start immediately for the right person.
This role is ideal for both experienced teachers keen for a new challenge and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) ready to grow their practice within an enriching and values-driven environment.

The Role
- Plan and deliver stimulating and creative lessons in line with the Year 1 / KS1 curriculum
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture where all pupils can thrive
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
- Work in partnership with colleagues, parents and carers to support pupil learning
- Maintain high expectations for teaching, behaviour and safeguarding
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
