Class 2 Refuse Driver

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking-Class 2 Refuse Driver-to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced driver who is comfortable with early starts, physical work, and working as part of a crew to deliver essential waste and recycling services.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 refuse collection vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carry out daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance
• Work alongside loaders to complete refuse and recycling collections
• Follow planned routes and collection schedules
• Adhere to all health & safety procedures and road traffic regulations
• Report vehicle defects, missed collections, or incidents promptly
• Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with members of the public

Requirements

• Valid-Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid-CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience in refuse or waste collection is preferred
• Good understanding of health & safety and safe manual handling
• Physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday
• 4:00am start
• 45+ hours per week

Pay & Benefits

• -14.70 per hour
• Bonus scheme available once permanent
• Ongoing work with potential for a permanent position
