Class 2 Hiab Driver

Fancy getting behind the wheel of a brand-new, high-spec DAF multi-axle rigid flatbed, kitted out with a heavy duty crane?-Our client, an established and growing business, is seeking a reliable, professional, and highly skille HIAB-Driver to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting, loading, and unloading a variety of heavy goods-including plant, construction materials, and containers -safely and efficiently across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operating a multi-axle DAF rigid flatbed lorry
• Using the lorry-mounted crane (HIAB) for complex loading and unloading operations in line with safety regulations
• Carrying out thorough daily vehicle defect checks and securing all loads correctly (strapping, chaining)
• Representing the company professionally on customer sites, delivering excellent customer service
• Adhering strictly to drivers'' hours, working time directives, and site safety rules

What Our Client Is Looking For

• Licence: Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category CE) or Class 2 (Category C), no more than 6 penalty points-
• Qualifications: Valid ALLMI or ITSSAR lorry loader certificate (remote control hook experience is an advantage, though training can be provided)
• Cards: Up-to-date Driver CPC qualification card and Digital Tachograph card
• Experience: Minimum 2 years operating heavy rigid commercial vehicles and lorry-mounted cranes
• Attitude: A professional, safety-first mindset, strong communication skills, and pride in vehicle presentation
