The Class 2 HGV Driver Sheffield - Immediate starts role based in Tinsley involves regular, ongoing work with a major food distribution firm. Full-time and part-time temporary contracts are offered, paying £16.21 per hour. Drivers operate Monday to Saturday, with start times between 5:00am and 6:00am and approximate 4:00pm finishes. Each shift includes up to 15 multi-drop deliveries to restaurants, convenience stores, and commercial clients. The position demands physical stamina and efficient service delivery. Key skills include excellent customer interaction and punctuality. Newly qualified drivers with a Class 2 licence are welcome to apply for these immediate starts.

HGV Class 2 Driver – Ongoing Work

Pertemps Sheffield is currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for regular, ongoing work with a leading food distribution company.
Full-time and part-time positions are available, with newly qualified (new pass) drivers welcome to apply.
The Role

Regular ongoing work
Monday to Saturday transport operation
Full-time and part-time shifts available
Start times between 5:00am and 6:00am
Approximate finish time 4:00pm (route dependent- Up to 15 deliveries a shift)
Multi-drop deliveries to restaurants, convenience stores and other commercial customers
This is a busy, fast-paced delivery operation where drivers are expected to work efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.
This is a physically demanding role involving regular handball, lifting, loading and unloading of products at multiple delivery points throughout the day.
You will be working outdoors in all weather conditions, so applicants should be comfortable carrying out manual handling duties throughout their shift.
Routes vary daily, so flexibility is essential.

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
Valid Driver CPC
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
Excellent customer service skills
New pass drivers are welcome to apply
