About the Role
Based in Chepstow, this temporary Class 2 HGV Driver position offers up to £15.66 per hour. Operating Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 16:30, you will deliver white goods, kitchen units, and worktops across the region. The role involves 12-15 daily drops, often accompanied by a driver's mate for home deliveries. Duties include safe vehicle operation, daily checks, and strict adherence to VOSA standards. Immediate starts are available at a leading logistics firm, with genuine temp-to-perm prospects for reliable individuals. You will need a valid Class 2 licence and a professional, safety-first approach. This is a physically demanding role suited to those comfortable with multi-drop schedules.
Class 2 Driver

Shift times: Monday - Friday 06:00 - 16:30
Pay Rate: £15.65 per hour
We are currently recruiting Class 2 Day Drivers for immediate starts at our client''s busy site in Chepstow. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity with a global leader in transport and logistics, offering long-term career prospects for the right candidates.
As a Class 2 Driver, you''ll be delivering a range of goods including white goods, kitchen units and worktops. You''ll typically complete 12-15 drops per day, working alongside a driver''s mate for home deliveries where required.
Responsibilities
- Safely operating a Class 2 vehicle in line with company and legal requirements.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with VOSA regulations.
- Carrying out both home and kerbside deliveries.
- Delivering white goods, kitchen units and worktops.
- Completing approximately 12-15 drops per day.
- Using handheld scanners and completing delivery paperwork.
- Providing excellent customer service at every delivery.
- Working safely as part of a two-person delivery team where applicable.
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum 6 months'' Class 2 driving experience.
- Multidrop delivery experience.
- No more than 6 penalty points with no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
- Good knowledge of the UK road network.
- Physically fit due to the manual nature of the role.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
