HGV Class 2 Driver – Warrington
Pertemps are recruiting a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client’s busy distribution centre in Warrington. We have immediate assessments available with the potential for ongoing, long-term work.
What you’ll be doing as a HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Working on a set 4-day shift each week (based on a 3-week rota)
- Delivering fast-moving perishable goods to stores across Central England
- Using dollies to roll goods directly into stores – no heavy lifting required
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
What we’re looking for in a HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Minimum 6 months’ HGV Class 2 driving experience
- A valid Category C licence, CPC card, and Digital Tachograph card
- A maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
The details for the HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Operation: Monday to Sunday
- Start times: Between 02:00–05:00 and 14:00–18:00 (weekend work included)
- Drops: Typically 1–8 deliveries per shift
- Shift length: Around 12 hours
- Pay: £16.22 per hour (PAYE), rising to £24.33 per hour after 48 hours
- Contract type: Ongoing, consistent work with regular shifts
