About the Role
A Class 2 Driver is required in Gloucester to work on a part-time, temporary contract basis, paying £14.50 per hour. The role involves driving a curtain-side rigid vehicle for bulk deliveries and collections, moving units around the yard, and ensuring loads are correctly prepared for timely departures. Yard tidiness and organisation are also key responsibilities. Starting shifts between 04:00 and 10:00, this ongoing position supports summer event deliveries. Free onsite parking is provided. The ideal candidate will hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence and demonstrate reliability and professionalism. We’re recruiting for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to join a leading national distribution company based in Gloucester. The Role
- Drive a curtain-side rigid vehicle for bulk deliveries and collections.
- Move units around the yard, ensuring they’re loaded correctly and ready for timely departures.
- Keep the yard tidy and organised.
- Deliver full pallets – mostly forklifted, with occasional use of tail lift or pallet truck.
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately.
- Maintain a professional manner and deliver excellent customer service.
- Occasional weekend work may be available at higher rates.
- Valid UK Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence.
- CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
- Maximum of 9 penalty points (minor offences only).
- Physically fit and comfortable with some light manual handling.
- Available for 04:00 to 10:00 starts, Monday to Friday some weekends
- Positive, flexible, and professional attitude and happy to jump in a 7.5t vehicle for the same rate.
- £14.50 per hour (PAYE) - Weekly or monthly pay options.
- Paid annual leave and pension scheme access.
- Minimum 8 hours pay per day guaranteed.
