About the Role
A Class 2 Driver is required for a waste management team in Musselburgh. This full-time, temporary role offers £14.53 per hour, with overtime paid at time and a half. Working 40 hours weekly, either Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday, 6:15am to 3pm. Key duties involve operating a skip lorry along assigned routes, ensuring timely delivery and collection of skips, collaborating with a crew for efficient drop-offs, and performing routine vehicle inspections. Candidates must hold a valid Category C licence. This position provides potential for permanent employment with the client.

We’re currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Cat C) Drivers to join a well-established waste management team in the Musselburgh area. These are excellent ongoing opportunities with the chance of permanent employment for the right candidates.
Main Duties:
- Operate the skip lorry along assigned routes to ensure timely delivery and collection of skips.
- Work alongside a crew to complete daily collections and drop-offs efficiently and safely.
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to maintain safe operation and report any faults.
- Comply with road safety laws and waste handling guidelines, ensuring loads are secure and no prohibited materials are transported.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Cat C) Licence
- CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous relevant driving experience
- Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious
