Class 2 - 18 Tonne driver needed More recruitment are working with a client in Bedford that is looking for an experienced 18 Tonne driver, most of this work will be palletised delivery with tail lift and pump truck however there could be some form of handball on some deliveries. This will be a temp to perm role - so 12 weeks through more recruitment and if successful you will then join the clients team on a full time basis Monday to Friday PAY - 15.50 an hour Responsibilities make deliveries on time. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transportation. Maintain accurate records of deliveries. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, prioritising safety at all times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Experience Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid HGV licence is essential. Must have an in date drivers licence with Tacho and CPC cards. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance with regulations.
