We''re currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver / Yard Operative on behalf of a well-established safety fencing specialist based in Tormarton, Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied workload, combining local driving duties with practical yard-based responsibilities. The successful candidate will join a busy and supportive team with the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

Key Responsibilities

As part of the depot team, your duties will include:

Carrying out local deliveries and collections using a Class 2 vehicle.
Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
Assisting with the day-to-day running of the yard.
Maintaining a tidy, organised and safe working environment.
Organising stock and materials within the depot.
Completing delivery paperwork and vehicle checks accurately.
Operating yard machinery and equipment (training provided where necessary).
Supporting colleagues with general operational requirements.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need:

A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
Current Driver CPC qualification.
A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
A proactive and reliable approach to work.
The ability and willingness to work outdoors throughout the year.
Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, transport or logistics environment would be beneficial, although not essential.
