About the Role

Manpower UK is seeking a Class 2 driver for a temporary contract based in Bilsthorpe, Nottingham. The role offers £16.00 to £16.50 per hour, with a 45-hour working week and a 6am start. A full Class 2 licence is essential, and an ADR licence is advantageous. Daily responsibilities include completing 4 to 7 collections of hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams, such as lead acid batteries, empty paint cans, mixed fuels, oil, filters, and plastics. The position involves manual handling of cages and pallets, alongside the safe delivery of waste consignments and finished products to customer sites. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for a reliable driver.

ADR licence would be an advantage

£16.00 - £16.50 per hour , 45 hours per week - temp to perm
6am start
ADR work includes lead acid batteries, empty paint cans, and mixed fuels. You will complete an average of 4 to 7 collections per day, the role will include manual aspects such as cages and pallets.
Collection of Wastes, including hazardous waste streams, to and from customers premises, to include - Batteries, Oil, Filters, plastics andamp; other waste products for recycling.
To deliver both waste consignments and finished company products to customer sites.
Key Duties to include

  • Safe collection and delivery of all waste materials.
  • Using all equipment in a safe manner and according to the company procedures, to carry out safety checks prior to and after use, reporting any faults/safety issues in timely manner and in accordance with the company procedures.
  • To ensure waste is loaded correctly and safely and all spillages are cleared up immediately and reported.
  • To adhere to ADR Regulations regarding the carriage of dangerous goods.
  • To comply with legal requirements and Company policies whilst operating a company vehicle.
  • To comply with all legal and Tachograph requirements.
  • To adhere to all Company safety rules and current legislation.
  • To check vehicle and report all incidents including damage prior to leaving site.
  • To accurately complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for daily vehicle checks and cleanliness of allocated vehicle maintaining company standards.
  • To be a positive representative for the company at all times.
  • To identify and communicate any additional customer requirements communicating to the line manager.
  • To be the key point of contact for the customer when attending their site.
  • To report any near misses, security and/or safety issues, at customer and client sites.
  • To adhere to customer security, health and safety, and site rule requirements whilst operating at their sites.
  • Any additional duties as required.
