Class 2 Driver – Aylesford – Multi-Drop Deliveries

Pay Rate: £20.88 per hour including holiday pay

Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a busy delivery operation based in Aylesford, Kent.

We are looking for a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver / Category C Driver to carry out multi-drop deliveries of food and drink products to customers across the local area. This is a physically active Class 2 driving role involving the delivery of pallets and cages, so previous experience in multi-drop or food and drink distribution would be highly advantageous.

As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering products safely and efficiently while providing a professional and friendly service to customers. You will need to communicate clearly with the office and supervisory team throughout the day and may occasionally be required to work as part of a double-manned delivery crew.

Start times will vary depending on the daily delivery schedule, with shifts generally starting between 04:00 and 08:00.

Class 2 Driver – Key Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 HGV safely and responsibly
• Completing multi-drop deliveries to customers
• Delivering pallets and cages of food and drink products
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Moving goods safely using the appropriate equipment
• Providing excellent customer service at each delivery
• Communicating effectively with the office and supervisory team
• Working as part of a double-manned crew when required
• Completing delivery paperwork and relevant documentation
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures

Class 2 Driver – Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• Valid CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 2 multi-drop delivery experience is highly desirable
• Previous food, drink or product delivery experience would be advantageous
• Previous product picking experience would be beneficial
• Good customer-facing and communication skills
• Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling and moving pallets/cages
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Pay & Working Hours

• £20.88 per hour including holiday pay
• Start times between 04:00 and 08:00
• Shift times will vary depending on the delivery schedule
• Flexibility around start times is required
