Class 2 HGV Driver - Ad-Hoc Holiday CoverLocation: DarlingtonPay Rate: 15.50 per hourHours: 5:00am - 3:00pmWorking Days: Usually Monday to FridayContract: Temporary / Ad-Hoc Holiday CoverPay: WeeklyJob DescriptionBerry Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to provide ad-hoc holiday cover for our client based at their depot in Darlington.This is an excellent opportunity for a Class 2 driver looking for flexible, temporary work to fit around existing commitments.Shifts will be offered on an ad-hoc basis, primarily to cover staff holidays and absences, with working hours typically from 5:00am until 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.Carry out deliveries in accordance with scheduled routes.Ensure goods are transported and delivered safely and efficiently.Assist with loading and unloading deliveries where required.Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.Maintain accurate delivery paperwork.Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.Adhere to all road transport legislation and health and safety procedures.Essential RequirementsValid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.Valid Driver CPC qualification.Valid Digital Tachograph Card.Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.Good understanding of drivers'' hours and working time regulations.Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work.Comfortable with early morning starts and physical duties ..... full job details .....
