Class 2 Driver

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Class 2 Driver to join Bromsgrove District & Redditch Borough Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, 4 days a week.-

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out daily pre- and post-use vehicle checks (walk-around inspections), report defects promptly, and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, clean, secure, and not overloaded.

• Lead, supervise, and organise a small crew of loaders/operatives, ensuring they wear PPE, follow safe systems of work, and work productively and safely.

• Assist with loading duties when required (emptying wheeled bins, sacks, recycling containers, or bulky items) and operate vehicle machinery such as bin lifts, compactors, and hydraulic equipment.

Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving licence-

• Experience as a Refuse Driver-
