Class 2 Driver and Loader

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver / Refuse Loader to support a busy Council waste management operation based in Worksop.This is a hands-on role combining HGV Class 2 driving duties with refuse loading responsibilities. You will be responsible for operating a refuse collection vehicle across local routes while also supporting the wider team with the collection and loading of domestic and commercial waste materials.Previous experience within waste management, refuse collection, recycling or local authority work is highly advantageous.Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle across designated routes in and around WorksopAssist with the loading and collection of domestic and commercial wasteWork closely with loaders and operational staff to complete daily collections efficientlyAdhere to all health and safety procedures and road regulationsCarry out manual handling duties and work outdoors in all weather conditionsMaintain a professional and courteous approach when interacting with members of the public Essential Requirements: Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licenceMinimum 2 years HGV Class 2 driving experienceValid CPC and Digital Tachograph CardComfortable carrying out physically demanding workReliable, flexible and team-oriented attitudePrevious refuse collection or waste management experience beneficial but not essential What s on Offer?
