About the Role
Manpower UK is seeking an experienced Class 1 Weekdays Stowmarket driver for a permanent position based in Stowmarket. This role involves general haulage with two to three deliveries per shift, operating Monday to Friday only. Day shifts start between 04:00 and 05:00, earning £19.00 per hour, while night shifts commence between 16:00 and 17:00, paying £20.19 per hour. Key responsibilities include safe goods delivery, accurate paperwork completion, daily vehicle inspections, and adherence to transport regulations. Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, a CPC qualification, a digital tachograph card, and prior HGV Class 1 experience. No weekend work is required.
Class 1 (HGV) Driver - Weekdays | £19 per hour day shifts and £20.19 per hour night shifts
We are currently recruiting an experienced Class 1 (Category C+E) Driver for weekday work involving general haulage.
Job Details:
- Start time: Days: 04:00- 05:00 Nights: 16:00 - 17:00 (Monday to Friday)
- Pay rate: £19,00 per hour
- Work type: General haulage
- Drops: 2-3 deliveries per day
- No weekend work required (weekdays only)
Responsibilities:
- Safe and timely delivery of goods to customer sites
- Completing 2-3 drops per shift
- Ensuring all paperwork and delivery notes are completed accurately
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks
- Following all road transport regulations and company procedures
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- CPC qualification
- Digital tachograph card
- Previous HGV Class 1 experience preferred
- Good communication and timekeeping
