Job Responsibilities

Operate a Class 1 (HGV 1) vehicle on night tramper routes, completing deliveries in line with planned schedules.
Ensure safe and compliant driving at all times, following tachograph and working time regulations.
Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, reporting defects or issues promptly.
Secure loads correctly and ensure the vehicle is prepared for safe transit before departure.
Maintain accurate delivery and collection records, including relevant paperwork and documentation.
Communicate professionally with transport office and customers regarding route progress and any delays.
Adhere to company safety procedures, site rules, and customer requirements.
Represent the company in a courteous manner while on the road and at delivery locations.

Required Skills andamp; Qualifications

Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
Valid Driver CPC qualification.
Valid UK digital tachograph card.
Proven experience driving HGV 1 vehicles, ideally with night tramper or long-distance work.
Strong knowledge of road safety, legal compliance, and tachograph/working time rules.
Ability to complete vehicle checks to a high standard and report defects accurately.
Good understanding of load security principles and safe handling practices.
Excellent time management and route planning skills to meet delivery windows.
Professional communication skills and a responsible approach to customer service.
Comfort working independently during night shifts and maintaining focus for long-distance journeys
