About the Role

Pertemps North Midlands is recruiting a Class 1 HGV Driver to operate from their client’s base at East Midlands Gateway in Kegworth. This full-time role offers temporary or permanent contracts, with a pay rate between £19.40 and £29.10 per hour, including daily overtime rates. Your primary duty involves trunking freight between company sites, NDCs, and RDCs, with no handball required. Available shift patterns include 4-on-4-off (fixed days or nights), Monday-to-Friday days, or Sunday-to-Thursday nights. Candidates must hold a valid Class 1 licence for at least six months, plus a tacho and DQC card. A constructive attitude is essential. Permanent roles may become available for those seeking long-term stability.

Class 1 HGV Driver
Pertemps are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to work for our client based out of East Midlands Gateway where they pay daily OT rates. As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will undertake trunking work to other company sites, NDC's and RDC's. This is clean work with no handball and presents long term work for Class 1 HGV Drivers. There will be opportunities to be taken on permanent as well should that be a pathway you'd like to explore.
Shift Patterns / Working Hours Available:
+ 4 on 4 off - Fixed days or nights
+ Days - Monday to Friday
+ Nights - Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday
The successful Class 1 Driver will:
+ Have a valid Class 1 License for a minimum of 6 months
+ Have a valid tacho and DQC card
+ Have a positive can do attitude
Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will include:
+ Trunking goods around the UK - No handball
+ Trailer swaps and backloads
You will receive:
+ Nights - £19.40 per hour
+ Nights OT after 9.6 hours daily - £29.10 per hour
+ Days - £16.95 per hour
+ Days OT after 9.6 hours daily - £25.43 per hour
