About the Role

Pertemps North Midlands seeks a Class 1 HGV Driver for a client based near Kegworth. This full-time role offers temporary or permanent contracts, with a salary of £18.75 to £28.12 per hour. The position involves trunking work between company sites, NDC's and RDC's, with no handball required. Successful applicants will possess a valid Class 1 licence held for at least six months, plus a current tacho and DQC card. Shift patterns include 4 on 4 off, weekdays, or weeknights. Each shift guarantees a minimum of 9.6 paid hours, with overtime paid beyond that. This role provides long-term, clean driving work with a pathway to permanent employment.

Class 1 HGV Driver
Pertemps are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to work for our client based out of East Midlands Gateway. As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will undertake trunking work to other company sites, NDC's and RDC's. This is clean work with no handball and presents long term work for Class 1 HGV Drivers. There will be opportunities to be taken on permanent as well should that be a pathway you'd like to explore.
Shift Patterns / Working Hours Available:
4 on 4 off / Weekdays / Weeknights
Guaranteed 9.6 hours per shift minimum pay with OT paid out after 9.6 hours each day.
The successful Class 1 Driver will:
Have a valid Class 1 License for a minimum of 6 months
Have a valid tacho and DQC card
Have a positive can do attitude
Your duties as a Class 1 HGV Driver will include:
Trunking goods around the UK - No handball
Trailer swaps and backloads
You will receive:
Nights - £18.75 per hour
Nights OT after 9.6 hours daily - £28.12 per hour
Days - £16.38 per hour
Days OT after 9.6 hours daily - £24.57 per hour
