About the Role

Pertemps North Midlands is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver to join a growing logistics firm based at East Midlands Gateway in Kegworth. This full-time, temporary role offers regular trunking and trailer swap work, with no handball required. Shifts include weekday starts between 0500 and 0800, or weeknight starts from 1600 to 2000. Pay ranges from £18 to £24 per hour, depending on shift. Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 licence with at least one year and 180 days of experience, plus a current tacho and DQC card. Duties involve trunking goods across the UK and completing trailer swaps or backloads between distribution centres. A positive, can-do approach is essential for this position.

Pertemps are recruiting for Class 1 Drivers to work for a growing logistics business who have partnered with a global brand based at East Midlands Gateway. Our client is able to offer Class 1 Drivers regular, year round trunking and trailer swap work.
Shift Patterns / Working Hours Available:
+ Monday to Friday
+ Weekdays - 0500 to 0800 starts
+ Weeknights - 1600 to 2000 starts

The successful Class 1 Driver will:
+ Have a valid Class 1 License for a minimum of 1 years and 180 days driving experience.
+ Have a valid tacho and DQC card
+ Have a positive can do attitude
Your duties as a Class 1 HGV Driver will include:
+ Trunking goods around the UK - No handball
+ Trailer swaps and backloads between RDC's / NDC's
You will receive:
+ Weekdays - £17 per hour
+ Weeknights - £18 per hour
+ Saturdays - £22 per hour
+ Sundays £24 per hour
