Job Responsibilities
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance with legal standards
- Safely operate Class 1 HGV vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of freight, maintaining high levels of customer service
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery notes and tachograph records
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies during operations
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly to management
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues
Required Skills andamp; Qualifications
- Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Current Digital Tachograph card and Driver CPC certification
- Previous experience operating Class 1 vehicles in a logistics environment
- Strong understanding of UK road regulations and safety standards
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends if required
