Class 1 Driver (Tramper)

Class 1 Tramper Driver
Location: Rutland Area
Salary: -14.50 - -15.03 per hour

Due to continued growth, our client a leading logistics and general haulage business are seeking experienced Class 1 Day Drivers to join their transport team, delivering palletised freight using curtain-sided articulated vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries and collections of palletised general haulage across the UK
• Safely operate Class 1 articulated vehicles whilst working away during the week
• Ensure loads are secured and transported safely
• Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and records
• Provide a professional service to customers at collection and delivery points
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and road transport legislation
• Maintain high standards of vehicle care and road safety

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Experience with curtain-sided trailers would be advantageous
• Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
• ADR Licence would be advantageous
• Willingness to work away from home during the working week
• Professional and reliable approach

Salary & Benefits

• -14.50 per hour (Class 1 Tramper)
• -15.03 per hour (Class 1 ADR Tramper)
