About the Role
As a Class 1 Driver - Rochester, you will join Royal Mail’s trunking team, transporting mail between depots across the UK. This role, based in Rochester, involves no handballing, focusing instead on planned, organised routes. You will complete thorough vehicle checks, maintain strict safety standards, and follow scheduled runs with precision. - Complete vehicle checks and uphold top‑tier safety
- Follow scheduled routes with precision
- Represent Royal Mail with professionalism on every run
- Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence (held for 2+ years)
- A valid and in date CPC + Digital Tachograph card
- 180+ days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years
- Max 6 points on your licence
- Able to pass vetting & DBS checks
- Excellent pay: £21.99–£25.12 p/h (shift dependent)
- Guaranteed minimum daily hours
- Weekly pay, holiday accrual & pension (PAYE)
- Option to secure preferred shifts after assessment
- Onsite parking & canteen facilities are available in most Depots
- Support from the onsite Pertemps team
