About the Role

This full time Class 1 Driver role with Rapier Employment supports a well-known client in Swindon. Applicants must have held a category C+E licence for at least six months. Drivers will transport goods from Swindon across the South Coast up to the Midlands, mainly covering trunking with occasional store overflow deliveries. Shifts span mornings, afternoons or evenings, Monday to Friday, weekends only, or a mixture of both. Duties include pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks. Pay ranges from £20.45 per hour for days, £21.57 for nights, £25.56 for overtime, and £26.97 to £29.57 at weekends. Reliability and safe driving are essential.

Position: Class 1 Driver
Pay rates below:
Days: £20.45 per hour
Nights: £21.57 per hour
Overtime: £25.56 per hour
Weekend: £26.97 - £29.57 per hour

Shift & hours:

Possible morning/afternoon/evening starts
Monday to Friday
Weekend only
Mixture of weekdays and weekends

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Transporting goods between various locations efficiently and in a timely manner.
Deliveries from Swindon will be across the South Coast of England up to the Midlands.
Drivers will mostly cover trunking, some store overflow deliveries may be required.
Conduct pre-trip and post trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure road worthiness and report any maintenance or mechanical issues.
Always provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

Full UK Licence (Cat C+E)
CPC Card
Digi Card
Held licence for 6 months minimum (Cat C+E)
