About the Role

Rapier Employment is seeking a Class 1 Driver to join operations in Didcot, supporting a well-known client. This full-time position offers a salary between £20 and £23 per hour, with a higher overtime rate after 45 hours. Start times are available between 12:00 and 16:00, and the site requires support across weekdays and weekends. The role involves transporting goods between locations, ensuring efficient delivery schedules, and safely operating a Class 1 vehicle for trunking duties. Responsibilities also include conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting issues, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption. Applicants must have held their C+E licence for at least six months.

Rapier Employment are looking for Class 1 drivers to support our well-known client based in Didcot.
** This is a great opportunity for someone who has held their C+E licence for 6 months **
Role: Class 1 Driver
Pay: £20 to £23 per hour - overtime after 45 hours on higher rate
Hours: Start times available between 12:00 & 16:00
Days: Site operate 24/7 so need support weekdays and weekends
Job includes:

Transport goods between different locations, ensuring efficient delivery schedules
Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle for trunking operations, adhering to company policies
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle and report any issues
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details
Communicate effectively with the transportation team and other drivers to coordinate trunking operations

What you'll need:

Held C+E licence for 6 months minimum
No more than 6 points on your licence
Strong knowledge of road safety and excellent driving skills
Available to work weekdays and weekends
Full UK licence, valid CPC card and digital tacho card
