About the Role

The Class 1 Driver position based in Coventry offers full-time work with Rapier Employment, paying £40,000-£54,600 annually. This role involves parcel trunking and collection routes without handball, operating from Baginton. Candidates need only have held their licence for three months. A 24/7 operation provides days and nights, with immediate start times between 11:00-15:00. Hourly rates begin at £17.50-£18.75, increasing after twelve weeks, with a minimum eight paid hours. Holiday pay accrues every five days worked. Flexible schedules include full weeks and ad hoc shifts, using a modern fleet of new vehicles.

AM Shift- £17.50-£17.75
Weeknight- £17.75-£18.50
Saturday and Sunday- £17.50-£18.75

**MINIMUM 8 HOURS PAID**
Holiday pay: Paid in addition to hourly rates (accrued every 5 days you work)
Flexible schedules: Full weeks & ad hoc shifts available

Avergae shift length- 10-12 hours.

Requirements:

A valid Class 1 (C E) NEED MINIMUM 3 MONTHS EXPERIENCE.
A professional attitude and commitment to reliability and safety
On-going work all year round.

Key Responsibilites:

inbound collection and outbound trunking, primarily drop-and-swap, with load and unload support as required by the client.
Undertaking trunking services between depots, ensuring the safe, secure, and timely transportation of parcels, including high-value goods.
Collecting consignments from established, well-known customers, including full trailer loads and drop-and-swap operations.
Completing thorough pre-use and post-use vehicle checks in line with company and legal requirements.
Complying fully with all road traffic legislation, industry regulations, and company health and safety standards.
Maintaining clear and effective communication with transport, dispatch, and logistics teams to support efficient operations.
