Class 1 Driver

Rapier Employment-are currently recruiting-Class 1 drivers-to join our well-established client based in Oxford.-The company will be relocating to Bicester as of August 2026 and are offering permanent positions.-

Job role:-Class 1 Driver (permanent positions)
Expected hours: 42 hours per week
Days: Monday to Thursday with Fridays when required
Hours:-Morning, afternoon, and night starts (required 4-5 hour start time window for planning)
Pay:--17.31 to -18.43 per hour

This is a great opportunity for drivers to play a key role in delivering excellent-customer service. You''ll be working in a fast-paced logistics environment and will be responsible for ensuring goods are transported safely to all customer sites. About the role:

• Trunk work - No loading or unloading required, meaning you can focus more on driving.
• Supervise loading - Ensure goods are securely loaded ready for transport.
• Delivery details - Confirm delivery details with customers and obtain signatures on all required documents.
• Technology - Use company-issued technology such as tablets as part of daily operations.
• Vehicle checks - Complete daily vehicle checks and report findings to site.
• Company policies - Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety.
• Responsibility - Take responsibility of your vehicle to minimise damage. Ensure the cab is also left clean and tidy.

About you:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence - must have held C+E for a minimum 12 months
• No more than 6 points
• Valid driver qualification card
• Valid tachograph card
• Previous experience in a similar driving role is beneficial
• Flexibility to work additional hours when required
