About the Role

Pertemps Crewe is recruiting a Class 1 Driver for a depot in Warrington, offering full-time, temporary work with flexible hours. The role involves safely loading and unloading cages of letters and parcels, working with single and double-deck trailers, and performing some pushing and pulling. Shifts average 10 to 12 hours, with various start times due to the 24-hour operation, and weekend work is required. The position pays between £21.44 and £24.57 per hour on a PAYE basis, with regular block bookings and immediate assessments available. Suitable candidates must hold a valid Category C E licence and possess relevant HGV driving experience.

Pertemps are looking for an experienced HGV Driver / LGV1 Driver / Class 1 Driver / C E Driver to join our client’s busy depot based in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, regular work all year round, with competitive PAYE rates.
Regular block bookings available with immediate assessments!

Pay rates: From £21.44 to £24.57 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: 10 – 12-hour duties

Your new HGV Driver / LGV1 Driver / Class 1 Driver / C E Driver role will include:

Safely loading and unloading cages of letters and parcels
Working with both single and double-deck trailers, with some pushing and pulling involved
Average 10 - 12hour shifts
Various start times as this is a 24-hour operation
Weekend work is also required for this role

What we’re looking for in a HGV Driver / LGV1 Driver / Class 1 Driver / C E Driver:

Minimum 2 years’ HGV Class 1 driving experience, with recent Class 1 work within the last 6 months
A valid C E licence, CPC card, and digital tachograph card
A maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
