About the Role

This position is for a Class 1 Driver - Nights based in Bury St Edmunds, offering a temporary contract with a permanent route. The hourly rate reaches £17.73, with shifts starting at midnight until 8am. Drivers handle multidrop deliveries of varied products to clients, requiring physical handballing of items and operation of a pallet truck. We''re looking for full-time, Class 1 Night Drivers to join us at our site in Bury St Edmunds on a temp to perm basis.
We deliver various products to our clients, so every drop has the potential to be different, and you will be required to handball items off, use a pallet truck wherever required, and from time to time a client may use their FLT to unload to make your day that little bit easier.
What you''ll do on a typical day:

Multidrop deliveries between customer sites + 1 collection
On average 12-14 drops across East Anglia - drops will be all similar postcode areas.
Safely operate your vehicle adhering to business standards.
In the absence of a customer forklift driver, you will need to use pallet truck to unload pallets off trailer.
Using a handheld scanner and completing relevant paperwork.
Vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with VOSA.

What you need to succeed with our client

Must have a multidrop experience!
HGV1 licence, Digital Tachograph Card, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
ADR preferred but is not a necessity.
A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
Multidrop delivery experience.
Excellent knowledge of the UK road network.
A can-do attitude
