About the Role

As a Class 1 Driver based in Stowmarket, you will carry out night trunking duties transporting non-ADR paint products to depots including Goole, Crick, Slough, Thatcham, and Rochester. This temporary role offers a Monday to Friday schedule starting from 5pm, with pay up to £18.63 per hour. Key responsibilities include completing daily vehicle checks, adhering strictly to road traffic laws, and operating your vehicle safely in line with company procedures. The position suits drivers who are reliable, methodical, and comfortable with regular night shifts. You will join a logistics provider focused on environmental sustainability and emissions reduction. Class 1 Driver - Nights
Location: Stowmarket - IP14 2QU
Shifts: Monday to Friday starting from 5pm
Pay Rate: £18.63 per hour
We are looking for dedicated Class 1 Drivers to join our team at our Stowmarket site on a temp basis, for the right candidate.
Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding andamp; Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.
What you''ll do on a typical day:

Trunking paint products (non-ADR) to various depots, including Goole, Crick, Slough, Thatcham, and Rochester
Adhering to road traffic laws
Daily vehicle checks
Safely operate your vehicle adhering to XPO standards
Operating a curtain sider trailer

Requirements:

We''ll need you to have a full UK driving licence (with C+E entitlement)
You''ll have no more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card
Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
