About the Role

The Class 1 Driver role based in Worksop involves completing deliveries from the local depot, operating on a temporary contract with pay up to £15.84 per hour. Shifts run Monday to Friday, with start times from 12pm. Key duties include performing daily vehicle checks, ensuring loads are secure, and delivering to distribution centres such as B&Q and Screwfix. Drivers must reverse safely onto loading bays for unloading by warehouse staff, then return to the depot for reloading or a trailer swap. Up to three runs per shift are expected. A valid Category C+E licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card are required, alongside adherence to transport and safety regulations.

We are looking for a reliable Class 1 Driver to join our team, completing deliveries from our Worksop depot.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out daily vehicle and load checks, ensuring loads are secure and correctly strapped before departure.
Deliver to distribution centres, including Bandamp;Q and Screwfix.
Reverse safely onto loading bays, where warehouse staff will unload the trailer.
Return to the depot with an empty trailer, where you will either be reloaded or complete a trailer swap.
Complete up to 3 runs per shift.
Follow all road transport and health andamp; safety regulations.

Requirements

Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
Experience reversing onto loading bays.
Good understanding of load security and vehicle safety checks.
Safety boots and a hi-vis vest are required.
