About the Role

Manpower UK is seeking a Class 1 Driver to join their team in Tamworth. This temporary position offers a rate of up to £20 per hour, with shifts running Monday to Friday from a 22:00 start. You will be responsible for delivering car parts to stores and showroom garages across a nationwide network, covering locations from Motherwell to Exeter. The role demands safe, efficient, and punctual deliveries while maintaining a professional service for customers. Newly qualified Class 1 drivers are welcome, provided they pass the onsite driving assessment. This position offers consistent night shifts, regular hours, and a supportive environment to build experience.

Pay Rate: £20 per hour
As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering car parts to stores and showroom garages across a wide delivery network, covering locations from Motherwell to Exeter and everywhere in between. You''ll play a key role in ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time while providing a professional service to customers.

Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services, offering a range of services including drayage, global freight forwarding and full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.
Your duties will include:

Completing an average of 2 deliveries per shift.
Delivering palletised goods and cages to customer locations.
Unloading deliveries using a pallet truck or by manoeuvring cages into the delivery point.
Accessing and securing closed showroom sites by locking and unlocking premises where required.
Collecting customer returns and transporting them back to the depot.
Completing all deliveries safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.

Requirements

A valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.
The ability to work independently and responsibly, particularly when accessing secured customer premises.
Safety boots and a high-visibility vest.
