Class 1 Trunking Driver - ADR

Location: Rochester
Shifts: Monday to Friday, starting at 7pm
Pay Rate: £18.25, Night out (tramping allowances)
Manpower is currently recruiting for Class 1 (C+E) ADR Drivers on behalf of our Logistics client, based in Rochester, working on a prestigious national contract transporting bulk gases across the UK.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity offering stable work, competitive rates, Monday to Fridays only so weekends off and the chance to secure a permanent role with a leading logistics provider.
Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding andamp; Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.
The Role

  • Transporting bulk gas products nationwide (trunking between sites and customer locations)
  • Carrying out deliveries across the UK
  • Operating Class 1 vehicles in a safe and compliant manner
  • Handling ADR hazardous goods in line with regulations
  • Managing tank discharge systems (pressure/temperature where required)
  • Completing vehicle checks and defect reporting
  • Ensuring all PPE and safety procedures are followed
  • Completing all delivery paperwork / ePOD systems
  • Communicating effectively with transport teams regarding delays or issues

Requirements

  • Full UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
  • Full ADR licence (including tanks)
  • Valid CPC andamp; Digital Tacho Card
  • Ideally 2+ years Class 1 experience (ADR preferred)
  • Newly qualified drivers welcome if they show the right attitude and potential
  • Maximum 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, IN, CD endorsements)
  • Good knowledge of the UK road network
