Class 1 Driver
Location: Start location Newton Heath occasionally Cheadle Hulme
Length of assignment: Temporary Ongoing, immediate starts subject to successful assessment
Working days: Mainly to cover Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but flexibility is required should the volumes need additional days working.
Shift times: Start times can vary and the usual shift start times for days are between 04:00 and 08:00, shift length is approx. 9-10 hours and should be no longer than 12 hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliveries to other depots (singles drops- occasional maximum 2 drops)
• No hand balling
• Reporting vehicle defects
• Ensuring vehicles have been loaded correctly

Requirements:

• (C+E) licence / Digi tacho andamp; CPC cards
• 2 years minimum C+E driving experience
• Maximum 6 points for minor offences
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
• Customer service skills required

Pay Rates:

• Monday to Thursday - £16.00 per hour (OT after 9 hours at £17.50 per hour)
• Friday and Saturday - £16.00 per hour (for all hours)
• Sunday - £18.35 per hour
