Class 1 DriverLocation: LeighShift times: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 17:00Pay Rate: £16 per hour, ADR is paid at £17 per hourWe''re looking for full-time, Class 1 Drivers to join us at our site in Leigh with an immediate start on a temporary ongoing basis!Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding and Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.What you''ll do on a typical day: Carry out multi-drop pallet deliveries, typically completing 5 to 15 drops per day.Deliver to a range of customer sites and branches across the region.Around 60% of deliveries are FLT (Forklift Truck) offloaded, with the remainder using pump trucks, so there is an element of manual handling involved.Operate your Class 1 vehicle safely and in line with company and road safety standards.Use a handheld scanner and complete all necessary delivery paperwork.Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure compliance with VOSA and legal roadworthiness standards. What you need to succeed with our client: A valid HGV Class 1 licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.ADR certification is preferred but not essential - higher rate applies if held.No more than 6 penalty points on your licence, with no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements.Proven multi-drop delivery experience.Good knowledge of the UK road network.A ..... full job details .....
