Class 1 Driver in Bedford

Ideal Recruit is currently looking for HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well-established client based in Bedford.

The role includes deliveries to stores across the UK, with an average of 2–3 drops of caged goods, plus some collections.

Rates of Pay: PAYE 

The rate applies for the first 12 weeks. After 12 weeks, the rate will increase, and it will increase again after 27 weeks.

Day rate - £17.00 p/h between 06:00-13:59 (from 14:00 afternoon rate applies).

Afternoon rate - £17.75 p/h between 14:00-21:59 (from 22:00 night rate applies).

Night rate - £19.93 p/h between 22:00-05:59 (from 06:00 day rate applies).

Additional Information

• Paid assessment required

• Fully paid breaks

• Shift availability: Days / Afternoons / Nights

• Shifts available Monday to Sunday

• Holiday entitlement will be accrued during employment.

Requirements

• HGV Class 1 driving entitlement (Category CE)

• Minimum 6 months Class 1 driving experience

• Refrigerator unit experience preferred

• Valid Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card

• No more than 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)
