Driver Hire Southampton are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers to work with our clients, who specialise in general haulage and palletised deliveries across the South Coast.Whether you''re looking for occasional ad hoc shifts or regular ongoing work, we have a variety of opportunities available to suit your availability.The Role:Ad hoc work available Monday to FridayDay and night shifts availableAverage shift length of 10-12 hoursDelivering palletised goods on a Class 1 curtainsiderDeliveries and some collections throughout the South CoastPallets loaded and unloaded for you using FLTNight work includes truncking and trailer swapsLiaising with the Transport Office and following allocated routesCompleting all relevant paperwork accuratelyCarrying out daily vehicle checksFollowing all company health and safety proceduresWhat we are looking for:To be considered for this Class 1 Driver role, you will need:A full UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence Valid CPC and Digi Tacho cardMinimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience Experience with curtain-side trailersExperience in general haulage and palletised deliveriesExperience with load securing and strappingExcellent communication skillsReliable timekeeping and a professional attitudeYour own transport to commute to and from workWhy work for Driver Hire Southampton?£250 sign-up bonus after successfully completing your first 10 shiftsWeekly payPAYE or PAYE Advanced payment optionsOn-site parkingCPC and licence upgrading ..... full job details .....
