Class 1 Driver

Driver Hire Southampton is recruiting for a permanent Class 1 Driver to join a specialist operation supplying some of the UK''s leading housebuilders and construction companies. This is more than a standard Class 1 driving role. You''ll be operating bulk powder tankers and silo placement vehicles fitted with specialist lifting equipment. You will be delivering and positioning dry silo systems at construction sites across the UK. Full training will be provided, giving you the skills and knowledge to operate the specialist equipment safely, efficiently and to the required industry standards. About this Class 1 driving position: Permanent position Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work during busy periods Typically a 6:00am start 40-hour working week, plus overtime Delivering dry silo systems to customer construction sites Operating specialist lorry-mounted lifting equipment to position silos Refilling silos using advanced powder tanker technology Working directly with customers, so professionalism and good communication are important As a Class 1 Driver, we require from you: Full UK Class 1 licence with valid CPC and Digi Tacho card Good customer service and timekeeping skills Experienced and newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not essential Own transport is essential due to the location of the client What you''ll get in return: Competitive pay Full training and PPE provided 31 days'' holiday, ..... full job details .....
